Sneak Peek: Dan + Rachel Part III | Detroit Wedding Photographer

After the First Look at the Townsend Hotel, we made our way to the ceremony site — the beautiful stone chapel at St. Hugo of the Hills in Bloomfield Hills. What a wonderful spot for a wedding!

I love, love, love Garrett’s shot of this wonderfully emotional moment between Rachel and her mom, Denise, as they walk down the aisle to meet Rachel’s dad:

Merry Christmas. Happy Hanukkah. Good Kwanzaa. Peace.

We want to wish you all a safe and wonderful holiday season. The studio will be closed from today through January 5th, 2009. However, if you are a newly engaged 2009 bride (or groom) to be, please feel free to email us if you would like to talk to us about photographing your wedding. We will be checking email and one of us will get back to you as soon as possible.

Thanks so much for your friendship and support. We appreciate each and every one of you and look forward to working with friends both old and new in the coming year.

Design Tuesday: Be Inspired

Jenna Lyons is my new girl crush. How could she be otherwise? After seeing her beautiful home in the October issue of Domino Magazine, I am totally smitten. Who would have imagined that the Creative Director of J Crew would rock her house with such a wonderful color palette? I would have thought Lily Pulitzer but instead we get Chrissie Hynde with a twist. Fabulous! I love, love, love the colors she used in her living room (upper left) and baby’s nursery (lower left.) I am beginning to think my bright red living room’s days are numbered. It’s just a hop, skip, and a jump from black nail polish to black paint on the walls. I’m ready! Drew + Erin: Sneak Peek

When Erin, an event planner who works for the fabulous W Hotels, hired me to shoot her wedding, I knew I’d be in for a treat. I was not disappointed. Erin and Drew were married yesterday at the beautiful River Birch Lodge. Everything about the venue, the details, and even the day itself was impeccable. Congratulations, Erin and Drew! Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your day.

First Look: Jen + David at the Troy Marriott

We’re back online! I can’t think of anything I’d rather come back with than Jen and David’s First Look. There were so many wonderful things about this wedding, and I hope you’ll come back tomorrow for the sneak peek. In the meantime, if you’ve ever wondered why we encourage you to have a First Look, the following photos should answer all of your questions!
